Ivorian actress Brigitte Bleu Agbre made an emotional return to the stage after a serious health scare. During the “Drôle de Femme” comedy show at the Abidjan Exhibition Park, she performed despite recently suffering a cardiac arrest.

The “Drôle de Femme” event featured a particularly moving moment when Brigitte Bleu Agbre appeared before the audience, back on stage after narrowly escaping death.

The actress, known for her bold presence and sharp humor, received a standing ovation. She had recently undergone major surgery during which her heart stopped for several minutes.

“We didn’t want her to perform,” said Caroline Dasylva, the organizer of Drôle de Femme. “But she told us her doctor had cleared her. So we gave her a role with minimal movement. She played it perfectly.”

Still visibly shaken, Dasylva added: “What you don’t know is that she almost didn’t make it. Her heart stopped for several minutes. She’s a survivor who was determined to perform. We were scared but took every precaution. Thank God everything went well. Be proud of yourself, Brigitte.”

The audience, who learned about her story either shortly before or after her performance, honored the actress with heartfelt applause and deep respect.
