The race to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup? enters a critical phase as the African teams face off on the fifth day of qualifying.

With the aim of securing one of the places at the tournament to be held in Canada, the USA and Mexico, each match becomes decisive for the rest of the qualifiers.

This Friday, several important matches will take place across the continent. Nigeria, struggling in Group C, will attempt to revive their campaign against Rwanda, while Algeria will look to consolidate their position at the top of Group G against Botswana. For their part, Group A leaders Egypt face Ethiopia in a match in which they hope to take another step towards qualification.
