Cameroon faced Morocco on Thursday evening in the group stage of the Women’s Futsal Africa Cup of Nations, and the Indomitable Lionesses fell to a crushing 7–1 defeat.

It was a rough start for Cameroon at the tournament, which is being hosted in Morocco. In their opening match, the Indomitable Lionesses were overwhelmed by the hosts, conceding seven goals while managing to score only once.

Outmatched and unable to contain the Atlas Lionesses’ relentless attacks, the Cameroonian side struggled defensively throughout the match. The result puts Cameroon in a difficult position in the competition, held in Rabat. They will now need a strong response in their next game to avoid an early exit from the tournament.
