Senegal: Ousmane Sonko Finally Unveils His Government List

Following a significant anticipation after his recent appointment, Ousmane Sonko, the new Prime Minister of Senegal, has finally announced on Friday the composition of his cabinet. The new administration will include 25 ministers along with 5 secretaries of state.

The formation of this government has generated high expectations among the Senegalese population, eagerly anticipating the direction and priorities that their national leadership would take under Sonko. Kicking off his term with this announcement, the leader of Pastef Les Patriotes hopes to effectively meet the people’s expectations and presents a governmental team with ambitions and promises of future progress.

“This new government is supposed to work diligently to carry out the projects of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye successfully. “This government is a government of change and one that embodies the expectations of the Senegalese people,” said Ousmane Sonko, adding that it is a “government of unity and proximity.”
