HomeSportFootballLa Liga: Carlo Ancelotti to Leave Real Madrid After Clasico Against Barça

Real Madrid’s coach, Carlo Ancelotti, is expected to leave the club after this weekend’s La Liga showdown against FC Barcelona.

This was revealed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his X account on Friday. “Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid will part ways with formal exit steps to follow after the Clásico. It’s over,” Romano posted on X.

“There are no issues regarding the salary for the additional season, as Ancelotti has never caused problems about this. The Italian coach will say goodbye as a legend and then… Xabi Alonso will step in,” he clarified.

Xabi Alonso has also confirmed that he will leave Bayer Leverkusen at the end of this season. “The club and I have agreed that these last two matches will be my final ones as the coach of Bayer Leverkusen,” stated the Spanish manager.

A defeat against Barça would almost certainly eliminate Real Madrid from the title race. The Merengues are second in the La Liga standings, four points behind the league leaders Barcelona, with four matchdays remaining in the championship.
