American rapper Kanye West has claimed to have participated in incestuous acts with his cousin when he was a child.

A tweet posted from Kanye West’s X account on Easter Monday revealed that he was about to release a song entitled Cousin. The track is inspired by a relative who was jailed for life for “killing a pregnant woman”. In the past, the 47-year-old had spoken of an incarcerated cousin but never revealed his name, stating only that he had been imprisoned at the age of 17.

The artist shared a video clip of the song and said he felt responsible for the violent act his cousin had been involved in. “This song is called COUSIN and it’s about my cousin who’s in prison for life for killing a pregnant woman a few years after I told him we wouldn’t look at any more porn magazines together,” writes the American singer.

He continues: “Maybe, in my self-centeredness, I thought it was my fault that I showed him those dirty magazines when he was 6, and then we mimed what we saw. My dad had Playboy magazines, but the ones I found on top of my mom’s closet were different.”

Kanye West goes further and shocks by concluding thus: “My name is Ye and I sucked* my cousin’s b*t until I was 14. Tweet sent”. These revelations provoked an outcry on the web. Especially as the words are explicit. “I told my cousin not to tell anyone,” he further reveals before continuing his rap: “The truth will set you free one day, I don’t think they understand that I’m not attracted to a man.”
