After enduring the trials of marital infidelity and unfair treatment, Geremi Njitap, the former Cameroonian international, has become the target of ridicule.

Geremi Njitap, the former Cameroonian footballer, is currently facing personal difficulties related to his marriage. He has recently discovered that his wife has been unfaithful to him with his former partner and, to make matters worse, it turned out that he is not the biological father of their three children. These revelations prompted Geremi to file for divorce.

This challenging period for Geremi Njitap has elicited mixed reactions. While some express their support for him, others have used this hardship to mock him. Some claim that he is reaping what he sowed, recalling the fact that he left his first wife for the woman in question, who comes from a wealthy family.

Geremi’s integrity has also been called into question, with some branding him as stingy. An old statement from the former midfielder surfaced on social media in which he stated that he did not have the generosity of Samuel Eto’o, his former teammate, who is famous for his great philanthropy.

I no longer want people to bother me. I am not a Samaritan like Samuel Eto’o. He is who he is, and I am who I am. I didn’t struggle for years to save the whole world. Even my own family complains about me, but I don’t care. Only God will judge me, not humans. Whether you give or not, you have never given,” he said.

He continued by asking: “What’s the point? I have always told Eto’o one day they will mock you. The Bible predicted everything, and I, Njitap, remain the same. My money is my own; if I hadn’t played football, who would be ready to help me? I don’t buy sympathy. You won’t hear about me making a huge donation to anyone. Many believe that I don’t live in Cameroon, I prefer to stay locked up in my house. My gate is always closed, even my security guard doesn’t have a dish at my place; his salary is enough.
