Cristiano Ronaldo or Messi: Roman Weidenfeller Chooses the GOAT

HomeSportFootballCristiano Ronaldo or Messi: Roman Weidenfeller Chooses the GOAT

Former Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller has chosen Cristiano Ronaldo over Lionel Messi.

Weidenfeller believes that Ronaldo’s strong work ethic makes him better than Messi. He stated that the Al-Nassr forward is always the first in the locker room.

“I have played against many strong forwards, like Messi, Gonzalo Higuain, and others. But Cristiano Ronaldo stands out,” he told The Hindu, as reported by Goal.

“He is always the first to arrive in the locker room, works hard in the gym and on the field, and is the last to leave. His dedication has kept him at the top for so long, and he is now continuing his career in Saudi Arabia,” added the former BVB goalkeeper.

Cristiano Ronaldo has won five Ballon d’Or awards during his career and numerous trophies, including the Champions League, the European Championship, the Premier League, La Liga, and Serie A, among others. The 40-year-old player has previously played for Real Madrid, Juventus, and Manchester United.
