The Beninese Football Federation (FBF) is in mourning. It has lost its 5th vice-president this Thursday, April 4, 2024.

The Beninese sports world, and especially the Beninese Football Federation (FBF), has been struck by a great misfortune. Indeed, the 5th vice-president of the FBF’s executive committee has passed away. The sad news was announced by the FBF’s general secretary, via a statement published on their communication channels.

It is with great consternation that we have learned of the sudden passing of our very dear and regretted El Hadj Soumanou Radji, President of the Panthères de Djougou and 5th Vice-president of the Beninese Football Federation, this Thursday, April 4, 2024,” read the communiqué signed by Claude Paqui.

The FBF also took the opportunity to offer its condolences to the bereaved family. “In this painful circumstance, the president of the FBF, Mathurin De Chacus, and his committee present their condolences to the entire Beninese football family, to his biological family, his children, and his relatives.

To conclude, the Federation invited all stakeholders in the sports world to hold a pious thought for the esteemed deceased.

Furthermore, according to the information provided, his burial is scheduled for Friday, April 5, 2024, at the Taifa Muslim cemetery in the first district of Djougou at 10 a.m. The Panthères FC and the entire sports community will thus take the opportunity to pay a final tribute to this exceptional man, as well as the Beninese Football Federation and the Bloc Républicain party, of which he was a founding member and the communal coordinator of Djougou.
