The talented Beninese artist, Sessimè, often shares personal anecdotes about her late father, and this Tuesday, April 9, 2024, she has shared another moving post on Facebook.

Sessimè, whose real name is Christelle Bidossessi Guedou, never misses an opportunity to pay tribute to her father and keep his memory alive with her fans. In a recent post on her official Facebook page, the singer revealed an intimate conversation she had with her father shortly before his passing, touching the hearts of her followers.

I remember my father’s smile when I went to see him a few days before he died, worried that something might happen to me and my baby as my belly was rounding out and starting to show at work… He told me, proudly seeing his daughter, who had been called sterile for years, finally expecting a princess, ‘Have no fear, my daughter, she will be fine and you will give birth without problems by the grace of God and your ancestors,’ and he added ‘and I will not go anywhere before holding her in my arms, I will stay with you for a good while longer by the grace of God’… I was reassured, soothed, calm, and confident but God decided otherwise… He left before she came into the world and today, it is a joy to see her taking on his facial traits 🥹 everything is grace. Rest in peace, grandpa Juste,” Sessimè wrote.

It should be noted that the singer’s father passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023, after a long illness.
