The Rector of the University of Parakou has announced the abolition of thesis defenses for students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Letters, Arts, and Human Sciences (FLASH) and at the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences (FASEG). This decision, effective from the current academic year, was communicated through a document signed on Monday, April 22, 2024.

According to the rector’s statement, Bertrand Sogbossi Bocco, this change has been implemented due to organizational reasons, and alternatives are currently being studied to replace this process. However, it is important to note that previous batches of students who have not yet defended their thesis are not affected by this new measure.
