Air France extends suspension of Tel Aviv flights until May 13

Air France announced Tuesday that it is extending the suspension of its flights between Paris and Tel Aviv until May 13, 2025, citing ongoing security concerns in the region.

The decision comes after a missile fired by Yemen’s Houthi rebels targeted, for the first time, Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv on Sunday. In a statement, the airline said that “the resumption of operations will remain subject to an assessment of the situation on the ground,” adding that “the safety of its customers and crews is its absolute priority.”

On Tuesday, in retaliation, the Israeli Air Force bombed Houthi-controlled infrastructure in Yemen for the second consecutive day, including strikes on Sanaa Airport and power facilities. The rebels immediately threatened further reprisals.
