Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has announced his squad for Wednesday’s La Liga clash against Mallorca, with several first-team regulars missing from the list.
Just three days after a crushing 4-3 defeat to Barcelona that all but ended their hopes of winning the league title, Los Blancos are back in action for Matchday 36. While the stakes are relatively low, Madrid will be aiming to secure all three points to maintain their cushion over third-placed Atletico Madrid.
However, the task won’t be easy for Ancelotti’s side, who will be without ten key players for the match. Lucas Vazquez, Dani Carvajal, Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao, Antonio Rüdiger, David Alaba, Aurélien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, Vinicius Jr., and Rodrygo Goes—who picked up an injury in training on Tuesday—are all ruled out.
Despite these absences, the Italian coach can still count on Kylian Mbappé, who netted a hat-trick against Barcelona last weekend. Rising stars Endrick and Arda Guler are also included in the squad, alongside veteran midfielder Luka Modric.
