Morocco booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday with a 3-1 win over Tunisia. Nigeria also progressed to the next round after a 2-2 draw with Kenya.

Group stage action continued on Wednesday with key fixtures from the third matchday. Tournament favorites Morocco secured qualification with an impressive win over Tunisia in an open and lively encounter. The Atlas Cubs found the net through Ayman (44′), Smail Bakhty (86′) and Jones (90+2′). Doubal scored the lone goal for Tunisia.

With seven points, Morocco finish top of the group. Tunisia, with only three points, finish third and are eliminated from the tournament.

Nigeria through despite draw

In the other game of the day, Nigeria were held to a 2-2 draw by a spirited Kenyan side. The Flying Eagles had to come from behind twice, leaning on their experience to secure a point. The draw was enough for the Nigerians to advance to the quarter-finals.
