At least three Indian military aircraft crashed on Wednesday in Indian-administered Kashmir, according to The Hindu, citing government sources.
The aircraft reportedly went down in the regions of Akhnoor, Ramban, and Pampore. Authorities have yet to release an official explanation for the crashes.
These incidents occurred amid escalating regional tensions. Earlier in the day, the Indian military carried out airstrikes targeting sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
The operation was reportedly in retaliation for an armed attack last month in Baisaran, near Pahalgam, where 26 people were killed. The town lies approximately 89 kilometers east of Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian-administered Kashmir.
