According to Fabrizio Romano, Carlo Ancelotti has reached an agreement in principle with Brazil to take charge of the Seleção.
The Italian manager is now finalizing the formalities to officially part ways with Real Madrid, with plans to lead the five-time world champions starting in June 2025. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) hopes to have its new coach in place for Brazil’s upcoming World Cup qualifying matches against Ecuador and Paraguay, scheduled for June 6 and June 10 respectively.
Romano also reports that there is no chance Ancelotti will coach Real Madrid during the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, as the CBF has consistently demanded that Dorival Junior’s successor be appointed before the June international break.
